Crafts Coalition Summer Show
July 4 and 5
Juried sale of
arts and crafts of coastal artisans held three weekends
a year. Held at the Beaufort Historic Site on Memorial
Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day, and at another venue
for a three week show between Thanksgiving and
Christmas, this is the perfect occasion to browse and
buy the work of coastal artists and craftsmen.

Years of Making Summer Friends
July 11
7 - 11 pm
Come celebrate Beaufort’s 300th
Anniversary with a fabulous summer party at the Beaufort
Historic Site. Wonderful food from Beaufort Grocery
Company, open bar, music by the O’Kaysions, live auction
and silent auction with the proceeds benefiting the
Beaufort Historical Association. Tickets, $100 per
person.

Membership Meeting / Volunteer Picnic September
25 6 pm
Semi-Annual Membership Meeting plus a picnic with all
the trimmings to honor all those who volunteer for the
Beaufort Historical Association and its many events and
activities. There will be a very brief business which
includes the election of new Board of Governors
members.
Fall Fundraising Party
October 24 6:30
pm
Gala fundraising party held in a
beautiful Beaufort home featuring the works of a
selected artist. Artwork is available for purchase.
Admission charge.
Harvest Time
October 6-8, 13-15
Demonstrations of Beaufort family life in the 1700s and
1800s will be featured in this Living History program
designed specifically for fourth grade classes. Children
learn through hands-on activities about open hearth
cooking, candle dipping, apple pressing, butter
churning, spinning, weaving and food preservation
techniques demonstrated by volunteers in period dress.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving
November
3-5, 10, 12, 13
Similar to our Harvest Time, Kindergarten Thanksgiving
is open for kindergarten classes. Children will visit
the quaint Leffers Cottage to learn from Mr. Leffers and
his family how they prepared for the winter months.
Students will see open hearth cooking, butter churning,
weaving and spinning and will have a lively conversation
with Mr. Leffers himself! Reservations required.
Jumble Sale
November 21 9 am
to 3 pm
The
Beaufort Historic Site turns into a community market
with art, handmade crafts, holiday gifts, pre-loved
treasures, antiques, clothing, food and much more. No
admission fee. Vendor information is available.
Community Thanksgiving Feast
November 22 11:30 to 1 pm
A
traditional turkey dinner is provided by some of the
area’s finest restaurants. Served at the Beaufort
Historic Site, dinners are available for take-out or to
enjoy under our tent. Admission fee.
Coastal Carolina
Christmas Walk & Candlelight Tour December 12
2 to 4:30 pm
The
Christmas Walk features open house tours of historic
Beaufort Bed and Breakfast Inns and the Beaufort
Historic Site buildings decorated in period fashion for
Christmas. A special narrated holiday bus tour through
the Historic District is available aboard the vintage
British double-decker bus. Period seasonal music can be
heard throughout the Historic Site. No admission charge
for Christmas Walk, fee for bus tour.
