47th Annual Beaufort Old Homes and Gardens Tour and Antiques Show and Sale

There are more than 100 houses that are over a century old in the picturesque seaport village of Beaufort, some of which will be featured on the 47th annual Beaufort Old Homes and Gardens Tour June 22nd and 23rd. Part of North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, just south of the Outer Banks, Beaufort is the third oldest town in North Carolina and a delight for anyone who enjoys the lure of the sea and the wonderful stories of star-crossed lovers, Confederate spies, and pirates that make up the rich history of the area.  The Old Homes and Gardens Tour is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to Beaufort to explore beautiful historic homes, glorious gardens, churches, and public buildings throughout the town. From small cottages to grand waterfront homes this year’s tour features ten private homes, the restored buildings on the historic site, an Antique Car Show, Living History demonstrations, musical concerts and a narrated tour of the Beaufort Historic District aboard a vintage English double-decker bus.  New to this year’s tour will be an Art Walk, which will showcase personal artist studios located in and around the town. An Antiques Show and Sale is held June 22nd, 23rd, and 24th in conjunction with the tour and showcases over 40 vendors, displaying furniture, silver, crystal, jewelry, linens and much more. The Antiques Show is held in the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City and offers 3 days of great antiquing for any budget. A Gourmet Tea Room will be open during the Antiques Show and Sale and will offer specialty sandwiches, beverages and desserts provided by area restaurants.

This annual three-day event gives visitors the chance to find out more about the wonderful history of Beaufort.
