Education Programs Offered at
the BHA
Since a large part of the
Beaufort Historic Site’s mission is to educate current
and future generations of the coastal heritage of the
area, the educational programs we offer are one of our
top priorities. There are a wide range of programs
available for students and adults:
Living History
This series of hands-on workshops and demonstrations,
held throughout the year, illustrate the traditional
arts, crafts, and necessary skills of early Beaufort

Courthouse
Dramatization Designed to complement the North Carolina 8th grade
curriculum, this unique program allows students to delve
into the early American legal system. Click

Harvest Time
This hands-on program correlates with the North Carolina
State Adopted School Curriculum and offers students
multiple opportunities to participate in activities that
teach them about Colonial times in Beaufort. Click
