Potential Jumble Sale Vendor:
In
the 1800s, villages in England held rummage sales during festivals. The Beaufort Historical Association’s annual
Jumble Sale, based on this historic premise, will be held at the
Beaufort Historic Site Saturday, November 22nd . The grounds will
be available for vendors to rent space to sell crafts, art, holiday gifts,
books, food, clothing or pre-loved treasures.
Hours
will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
We ask that everyone please keep his or her space open for business
until 3 pm, although you may continue to sell after that. Everything must be off the grounds by 5:00
pm. A vendor application with
guidelines and current booth pricing is enclosed.
As
this is a fund-raising event for the BHA, it will be held rain or shine and
there will be no refunds due to inclement weather. All funds raised are used for the continued restoration and
preservation of the Historic Site buildings.

Jumble Sale Guidelines
·
Rental rates:
$35 for a non-BHA (Beaufort Historical
Association) member
$25 for a BHA member
$10 extra fee for space under the BHA
tent (only 10 available on a first-come, first-serve
basis. CALL 252-728-5225 IMMEDIATELY TO RESERVE.)
· Spaces are approximately 10’ x 10’ and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Although spaces are not marked
there is plenty of room for everyone on the Historic Site.
· Hours are from 9 am to 3 pm. We request everyone keep his or her space open for business until 3 pm. You may
continue to sell after 3 pm but all spaces must be cleaned and vacated by 5 pm.
· Vendors must supply their own tables and chairs. Tents are recommended as the event is held rain or shine.
· Electrical power is not available.
· The site will be open early Saturday morning to set up. You are encouraged to come as early as possible.
· Setting up before Saturday morning is discouraged as there is no evening security on the grounds.
· As this is a fundraising event for the Beaufort Historical Association (BHA), no refunds will be given.
· Parking in front of the Historic Site will be for loading and unloading only. This is strictly enforced.
· If you plan to sell food, please contact Kelsie Kirkland (252) 728-5225 before sending in your application.
· Material that the BHA judges to be illegal, immoral or unsafe will not be sold. Also, raffles are not allowed.
· This form is your receipt and confirmation. Please make a copy for your files.

I have received, read and understand the Jumble Sale guidelines. I agree to be responsible for my own insurance coverage on all persons or goods relative to the space(s) rented and release the Beaufort Historical Association (BHA) from any and all liability for damage, injury or loss to any person or goods from any causes in connection with the use of space on grounds in this event or the display and/or sale of my merchandise. I understand this is a fund-raising event and refunds will not be given. I will be responsible for keeping my space attended at all times and BHA is not responsible for any loss, damage or consequences resulting from space left unattended. I also release BHA from any responsibility, loss or damage to my property should I choose to set up the evening before when there is no security on the Historic Site.
